Lumia900ATT-LTE

Just last Friday, the Lumia 900 was officially launched with pomp and the glamorous setting of Times Square behind it. As Nicki Minaj serenaded the new phone into US markets for AT&T, things were looking up for the Finnish company after the turbulent year it experienced in the smartphone industry. However, due to a bit of bad luck, it turns out that a batch of the Nokia Lumia 900s is constantly losing data connectivity due to a memory issue.

While it is uncommon for a memory leak to terminate data connection especially on a closed-up Operating System like Windows Phone, users have begun to forget the company’s mistake after acknowledged the problem and have been working on a software update which is due to be out on the 16th of April (next Monday). If you find yourself unable to wait until Monday, you can swap your Lumia 900 for an already updated one.

On top of that, Nokia has gone beyond an apology and has credited all users with $100 on their AT&T bill for all who have bought or will buy the device up until April 21st. What this means is actually a $0.01 in profit since the phone can be obtained from AT&T for $99.99 on a two year contract. If you have been going back and forth as to whether or not you should get the Lumia 900, this would be your cue. Now let us spare a thought for the lonely HTC Titan II which is now $200 more than the price of the Lumia 900 until the 21st of April at least.
