Samsung Galaxy S3 rumored details

Published

on

Samsung’s series of Galaxy smartphones have sold rather well, and have been considered to be some of the most anticipated Android smartphones available. With the success of Galaxy S2 outshining the Galaxy S, it’s only natural that Samsung would want to introduce a successor with the Galaxy S3, although that has yet to be confirmed with Samsung only dropping hints that it may arrive in 2012.

It seems that upon surfing the website 4chan, an anonymous user has revealed what they are saying will be the specs for the Samsung Galaxy S3. Naturally anyone can come up with specs and claim to have insider information, so let’s take this at face value and with the tiniest pinch of salt.

According to the user, the Galaxy S3 will feature a quad-core 2.0GHz processor with 1.5GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. It will sport a 4.65” display with the successor to the Super AMOLED Plus display, the Super AMOLED III, which apparently had been designed specifically for the Galaxy S3. It will have a resolution of 1280×1024 and is said to have 352ppi. It will also come with a 10MP camera that is capable of shooting 1080p videos at 60fps and will be loaded up with Ice Cream Sandwich and a new TouchWiz UI.

Sounds like the dream phone everyone wants, doesn’t it? This is why it’s a little hard to buy because with such great specs, assuming Samsung rolls out a Samsung Galaxy S4, it would be extremely hard to top the S3. Anyway once the iPhone 5 is released, we’re guessing the Galaxy S3 will be the next piece of hot gossip and rumors, so stay tuned!

galaxy-a9-fccSo, there is a new Samsung smartphone that is about to be released – big surprise, that, and I say this with full a sarcasm. Still, those who want something that looks to hang out on the high end side of things in terms of design and form factor, and yet having a mid-range performer within, can always settle for the Samsung Galaxy A9.

The handset has already appeared on the FCC database, which means it has been approved, and listed as the Samsung Galaxy A9. With the green light given, it is but a matter of time before it hits the market. While very little detail has been released so far, it should not be too long now before an official announcement is made. All that one can do now is to sit tight and wait. [FCC Page]

After all, accessory manufacturer ITSKINS has shared more details concerning this device, with the Galaxy A9 touted to be a wee bit more compact as opposed to the Galaxy S7 Plus, never mind that both handsets will come with 6.0″ screens.

Measurements of the Galaxy A9 include 161.9mm x 81.3mm x 7.34mm, where it would be slightly taller than the Galaxy Note5, while sporting a metal and glass design, a fingerprint reader that should be able to handle mobile payments, a Full HD Super AMOLED display, and a Snapdragon 620 chipset, among others.

Well, the Galaxy S7 has been said to target an early 2016 release, and some photos of the alleged device has already been snapped, although one should take into consideration that the original Weibo post is no longer there.

Of course, do take this particular leak with a pinch of salt, since it could be one of the numerous smartphones from various manufacturers that could roll out a similar looking handset. In the leaked photos, you can see a wrap-around metal border design, which seems to be the in thing at least for the next couple of years. All that we can do now is to sit tight and wait for the real deal to surface.
