Firefox OS For Smartphones Officially ‘Dead’

All good things must come to an end, or so the saying goes. However, it also makes sense if something that is bad or not good at all must also come to an end, as it would be madness to continue a certain kind of destructive behavior or pattern. The folks at Firefox have been alerted to the situation where their Firefox OS is concerned, and decided that they will no longer offer Firefox OS smartphones through carrier channels.

This particular move happened because Mozilla figured out that they cannot deliver “the best user experience possible” where smartphones are concerned, and hence, decided that it is better to cut its losses and to bail out from smartphone development totally. After all, the Firefox OS handsets rolled out to date have been low-end without bringing much success.
