If you are a OnePlus One owner, and have been looking forward to the release of the CyanogenMod 12S update as well as the new Oxygen OS, I suppose you will be disappointed when March 30 rolls around, since that is the promised release date by the folks over at OnePlus. According to the company’s representative David, who did a post on Reddit, rather than the update being released, OnePlus will instead give out free handsets to a lucky few folks.
Taking into consideration the delay of the CyanogenMod 12S update, this means that the version has not quite achieved a level of stability as people would have expected it to. Heck, even OnePlus’ very own Oxygen OS will need to go through additional testing prior to it going online for a round of public download.
