Samsung Galaxy A5 Gets A Dash Of Gold

Gold, and plenty of it! This is one particular element that folks would love to have – and you can never have too much gold, it seems. Ask the folks over at Fort Knox – they should know a thing or two about this precious metal. Having said that, Vietnamese gold-plating shop Karalux has decided to pick the Samsung Galaxy A5 as their latest project target, and this is a huge honor considering the Galaxy A5 is a mere mid-range handset that comes clad in aluminum.

While Karalux has done up the rest of the metal body in gold, it has left the following regions untouched for reception purposes – plastic patches on the top, back and bottom. Apparently, it takes four hours thereabouts to remove the panel and plate it with gold, where you can even specify a custom design right at the back. The asking price for this job would be $200 thereabouts after conversion, which ain’t too shabby, really.
