What do you think that the next big thing in smartphones will be? Of course, I am referring to the high end side of things, and not just any regular mid-range device. While Sony has continued to take the waterproof and dustproof approach, it seems that Apple figured out that a sapphire display might be the next best thing since sliced bread, and their upcoming iPhone 6 is touted to feature a display that is made out of the second hardest known material to man after diamonds. Well, Huawei does not want to miss out on such an opportunity, hence they too, are working on delivering the Huawei Ascend P7 with a sapphire display.
Hopefully more will be revealed concerning such a display for the Huawei Ascend P7 when IFA 2014 kicks off in Berlin, Germany, sometime early next month. For now, we will have to be content with the leaked hardware specifications that so far include a quad-core 1.8GHz Cortex-A9 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and a 13MP/8MP camera combination.
