If you are a huge fan of Roku and its video streaming services, then here is an excuse to explore the world of Windows Phone and Windows 8.1, as apps for the respective operating systems have just been revealed, which means Roku has finally jumped aboard the bandwagon of being with the Windows family.

The Windows Store will offer the Roku app that will target both tablet or other touch-screen capable device, be it a desktop or a small form factor computer. This is because the mouse and keyboard input are not supported, so touch is the only way to get things working around here. With the Roku app, you can then enjoy streaming content from various channels such as Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video, and HBO Go, not to mention having the ability to detect all Roku players automatically on the local network.

There is also a Windows Phone version of the app made available, where this particular app would work on both Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 8.1.
