HTC’s flagship smartphone, the HTC One (M8), alongside its predecessor, the HTC One (M7), has been touted to be on the receiving end of the Android L update which should not arrive later than three months after Google introduces the final version of the mobile operating system. Thanks to XDA contributor and HTC insider Llabtoofer, he has put up a chart that depicts just which particular devices ought to be on the receiving end of updates down the road, and hence it is not surprising to see that both models of the HTC One has been slated for an Android 4.4.4 KitKat update.
Apparently, this is still in the evaluation process, and the Android 4.4.3 update alongside with some tweaks made to Sense 6.0, might just be lumped together with Android 4.4.4 KitKat considering the latter is not a heavyweight update, and this has been rumored to take place anytime next month or in August. Only time will tell.
