Could HTC be the ones behind the upcoming Nexus 8 tablet from Google? Apparently so, as there are signs from “upstream supply chain” sources that point to the Taiwanese company working on the next generation Nexus tablet. Granted, HTC has not been doing too well lately, despite having released fine smartphones in the mold of the HTC One (both the M7 and M8 versions). While Google was said to have approached HTC before Asus for the Nexus 7, it seemed that HTC was too busy back then, where in hindsight, it might have helped ease HTC’s bottom line today.
If HTC were to actually build the Nexus 8, then it might in all probability arrive in an 8.9-inch tablet form factor, with it also most probably rolling out some time in the third quarter of the year, similar to its predecessors in the years before. So far, Google’s own tablets have always proven themselves to be pretty decent in performance and we do look forward to the upcoming Nexus 8.
