AT&T’s support website has pointed out that they will be making available the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the LG G Flex from Thursday, April 17th onward, in an Over The Air (OTA) format. Of course, before you perform any kind of software update, it would always be prudent to make a back up of all your existing data, as you can never quite tell just when will Murphy strike. The LG G Flex’s Android 4.4.2 KitKat update will be huge at 686MB, which means it is also highly recommended that your handset has at least 50% charge on its battery remaining, not to mention being connected to a Wi-Fi network.
AT&T has reiterated that this particular update will roll out in stages, so if you are not on the receiving end of it tomorrow, fret not – it will arrive to your smartphone eventually. Patience does have its virtue, and if you feel that you lack in this particular virtue, how about trying to pick it up manually by heading to Settings > General tab > About phone > Software update > Update now on your handset?
