Panasonic has been in the spotlight before, when they quit the smartphone market. Granted, most of the world do not use Panasonic smartphones, but this is very different for those living in Japan. Having said that, it was a sad day last August when Panasonic decided to take leave from the smartphone business for good. However, it is nice to hear from the Japanese media that the company is about to make a change in their minds, and word on the street has it that they also have a brand new smartphone that is being developed in-house at the moment.
This particular device is touted to feature a 5” display as the bare minimum, and word on the street also has it that this will be a shock resistant smartphone. Apart from that, undisclosed Japanese sources also claim that the device’s rugged nature will make it the ideal candidate when it comes to performing in various environments such as construction sites.
