It does seem as though the company known as Huawei is on the ascendancy, despite failing to hit the 60 million smartphones goal. However, not meeting that particular objective does not mean that they have failed in 2013 – in fact, Huawei did have some pretty respectable performance figures by their own standards, having shipped 52 million devices last year, resulting in them ending up as the number three smartphone vendor. Still, a flagship does seem to be sorely missing from their stable of devices that will be able to slug it out with the best of the rest, and it seems that Huawei is working to rectify this situation by introducing a new S series device which will merge the best from its P and D series smartphones. I suppose you can call this the Huawei Ascend Sx at the moment.
The Huawei Ascend Sx measures a mere 6.9mm thin, where it will be powered by the company’s very own 64-bit CPU, accompanied by 3GB RAM, has 16GB of internal memory, sports a 2,560 × 1,440 resolution display that clearly puts this above and beyond the Full HD category, has a 16-megapixel camera at the back with a 3,050 mAh battery to keep it going. Expect it to be priced in the same band as that of the iPhone 5s.
