The Windows Phone mobile operating system platform from Microsoft is slowly but surely gaining strength, as market analyst company Kantar Worldpanel has shared with us in their most recent report of the 3-month period which ended in October 2013. This report of theirs showed that the Windows Phone operating system has edged its way beyond the 10% market share in the continent of Europe, which is an achievement to be celebrated especially when you consider that during the corresponding point in time last year, it managed to muster only a 4.7% market share.
According to Kantar, most of the Windows Phone-powered devices hail from the low end segment, which is spearheaded by the Nokia Lumia 520. The Lumia 520 has proven itself to be quite the mover actually, comprising of nearly 25% of all Windows Phone devices in the survey. Here’s to seeing Windows Phone grow from strength to strength in the coming year!
