Windows Phone Update To Include Rotation Lock And Text Sync On PCs

Any mobile operating system worth its salt would obviously need to have periodic updates roll out from time to time in order to keep it up to par in terms of performance as well as usability, and we are pleased to hear that Microsoft is working hard to roll out the GDR3 update to Windows Phone 8 in due time, where they have already started to test out some builds even as you read this. Apart from that, Windows Phone 8 users can expect a bunch of new features such as rotation lock, changes made in the user interface to Live Tiles, text syncing to PCs, and a driving mode option that is meant for in-car use.

Strangely enough, the rotation lock failed to make it to previous update versions, but perhaps this is set to change thanks to the imminent arrival of larger sized Windows Phone devices. It is also nice to hear that text syncing is arriving, where users can check out their text messages on the smartphone in addition to the web and on PCs.
