We’ve heard in the past several rumors about how Nokia might be interested to make a phablet device of their, presumably to capture the trend of large-screened smartphones, as well as perhaps prove that Windows Phone is viable in tablet form, just like Android (e.g. Samsung Galaxy Note). Well according to the folks at MobileToday, they claim that according to their informant, a Nokia phablet device is indeed real and could be pegged for a release in the third quarter of 2013! Unfortunately the specifications of such a device remain relatively unknown at this point, but their informant did share that the device will feature a 6″ display. With hints pointing at Microsoft introducing support for Full HD 1080p resolutions in the next update of Windows Phone, we guess a Full HD 6″ Windows Phone device would definitely be welcome by consumers. The price of the Nokia phablet has also been tentatively pegged at around $650-$800, putting it right smack in the high-end market. Take this with a grain of salt for now, but a Windows Phone tablet does sound like an interesting idea – what do you guys think?
