Alleged Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (8.0) Photo Leaked
Word on the street has it that Samsung has another tablet up their sleeves apart from the Galaxy Tab 3 (7.0) which has already been announced. This alleged device is the Galaxy Tab 3 (8.0) which is a slightly larger sibling of the 7″ model, and thanks to the folks at SamMobile, they claim to have gotten their hands on what appears to be a leaked photo of the tablet. While the design is slightly similar to the Galaxy Tab 3 (7.0), it is noticeably difference in the sense that the front-facing camera and ambient light sensor are positioned in the middle, versus to the right on the Galaxy Tab 3 (7.0), and the fact that its bezels are also thinner than the 7″ model, suggesting a slightly larger display.
While the device has yet to be made official, the specs as it stands include a 1.5GHz dual-core processor along with 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of storage expandable via microSD, and an 8″ 1280×800 display. It will feature a 5MP rear-facing camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, and is expected to run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Still no word on when the 8″ model of the Galaxy Tab 3 will be released, but hopefully it will be soon, so stay tuned for updates, and in the meantime take this with a grain of salt for now!
So, there is a new Samsung smartphone that is about to be released – big surprise, that, and I say this with full a sarcasm. Still, those who want something that looks to hang out on the high end side of things in terms of design and form factor, and yet having a mid-range performer within, can always settle for the Samsung Galaxy A9.
The handset has already appeared on the FCC database, which means it has been approved, and listed as the Samsung Galaxy A9. With the green light given, it is but a matter of time before it hits the market. If you would like to fancy your chances with an upcoming mid-range device that seems to hover more on the higher end scheme of things, then the Samsung Galaxy A9 would certainly fit you to a ‘t’, so to speak. After all, accessory manufacturer ITSKINS has shared more details concerning this device, with the Galaxy A9 touted to be a wee bit more compact as opposed to the Galaxy S7 Plus, never mind that both handsets will come with 6.0″ screens.
Measurements of the Galaxy A9 include 161.9mm x 81.3mm x 7.34mm, where it would be slightly taller than the Galaxy Note5, while sporting a metal and glass design, a fingerprint reader that should be able to handle mobile payments, a Full HD Super AMOLED display, and a Snapdragon 620 chipset, among others.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 will no doubt be a smartphone that many people would look forward to picking up when it is ready, taking into consideration how flagship devices are always in demand. Well, the Galaxy S7 has been said to target an early 2016 release, and some photos of the alleged device has already been snapped, although one should take into consideration that the original Weibo post is no longer there.
Of course, do take this particular leak with a pinch of salt, since it could be one of the numerous smartphones from various manufacturers that could roll out a similar looking handset. In the leaked photos, you can see a wrap-around metal border design, which seems to be the in thing at least for the next couple of years. All that we can do now is to sit tight and wait for the real deal to surface.
