Windows Phone Challenge Puts Nokia Lumia 920’s Camera Up Against The Galaxy S3

The Samsung Galaxy S2 and S3 came with pretty decent cameras, and we expect that Galaxy S4 will too as well, but in the meantime Nokia does not seem to want customers to forget that the Lumia 920 excels in low-light photography, and that’s what they did in the recent Windows Phone Challenge by Microsoft. Considering that the Samsung Galaxy S4 was recently announced, we guess Nokia and Microsoft wanted to capitalize on the hype by releasing a comparison video against the Galaxy S4’s predecessor, the Galaxy S3. As you can see in the video above, the Galaxy S3 did not produce a photo as nice as the Lumia 920 in low light settings. Of course we expect in real life there are other variables to consider and settings to adjust, but we guess it managed to serve Nokia and Microsoft’s point. Then again we guess we have to ask, is low-light photography that important to everyone? While it will no doubt help create photos that look a lot nicer and less harsh compared to if the flash was used, not everyone prioritizes the feature so Nokia and Microsoft’s efforts could be moot.
