Samsung Announces Unpacked Event For 14th March

After today’s confirmation by Samsung’s very own J.K. Shin that they would be unveiling the Samsung Galaxy S4 in New York, Samsung has announced via its Twitter that they would be holding an Unpacked event on the 14th of March in New York, leaving very little to the imagination as to what the event could be about. The 14th of March date has long been rumored to be the date that Samsung would unveil the Galaxy S4, but it looks like it has been made official. We’re very excited to see what Samsung has in store for us, especially considering that the Galaxy S-series of Android smartphones have been wildly successful, so it will be interesting to see how Samsung will be able to top the Galaxy S3 in terms of design and hardware.

Previous rumors have suggested that Samsung would be using their newly announced Exynos 8-core chipset, but recent rumors have suggested that due to production issues, Samsung would instead opt to fit a 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset in the Galaxy S4 instead. Apart from that, other rumored specs include a 5″ Full HD display which we kind of expected already as the competition has definitely stepped up. The Galaxy S4 is also said to feature a 13MP camera which seems to be the popular choice these days for flagship devices.
