Google’s Project Glass is certainly an experiment that will bear fruit sometime later this year, and hopefully, it will be ready for the mass market at the upcoming Google I/O conference that will be held this May. Having said that, there is a lot more about Project Glass than Google has let on in the past, and the second part of the patent points toward a binocular Head Mounted Display. While this binocular Head Mounted Display seems to be a whole lot cooler for the user, it does have its fair share of potential pitfalls, among them being the possibility of a misalignment between both sides.
Whenever a misalignment happens, some users might suffer from spells of dizziness, a feeling of disorientation and an overall poor experience. Good thing the folks over at Google do seem to have a fix, where among them include a laser alignment sensor system that will play nice with a couple of sensors, relying on mechanical actuators to fix deformities in Project Glass itself, making sure that both sides are aligned all the time.
