Samsung Galaxy S4 Rumored For April Release
We’re sure that many Android fans are looking forward to what Samsung will be bringing to the table with the Galaxy S4, one of the most highly anticipated handsets of 2013. While it remains to be seen as to what sort of hardware the Galaxy S4 will pack, it has been speculated that we might be able to get our hands on the device come April 2013. This is thanks to the folks at PhoneArena who have managed to get their hands on an internal raffles document from a New Zealand mobile retailer who states that they will be giving away a free Galaxy S4 to the winner of the raffle. Considering that the raffle will be ending on the 8th of April, they have speculated that it is possible that the Galaxy S4 could be released shortly after. This combined with earlier rumors that Samsung could be hosting an Unpacked event on the 22nd of March seems to corroborate the April time frame. Then again it is possible that the retailer is basing their dates on the rumors, so it should be taken with a grain of salt for now, but what say you?
So, there is a new Samsung smartphone that is about to be released – big surprise, that, and I say this with full a sarcasm. Still, those who want something that looks to hang out on the high end side of things in terms of design and form factor, and yet having a mid-range performer within, can always settle for the Samsung Galaxy A9.
The handset has already appeared on the FCC database, which means it has been approved, and listed as the Samsung Galaxy A9. With the green light given, it is but a matter of time before it hits the market. If you would like to fancy your chances with an upcoming mid-range device that seems to hover more on the higher end scheme of things, then the Samsung Galaxy A9 would certainly fit you to a ‘t’, so to speak. After all, accessory manufacturer ITSKINS has shared more details concerning this device, with the Galaxy A9 touted to be a wee bit more compact as opposed to the Galaxy S7 Plus, never mind that both handsets will come with 6.0″ screens.
Measurements of the Galaxy A9 include 161.9mm x 81.3mm x 7.34mm, where it would be slightly taller than the Galaxy Note5, while sporting a metal and glass design, a fingerprint reader that should be able to handle mobile payments, a Full HD Super AMOLED display, and a Snapdragon 620 chipset, among others.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 will no doubt be a smartphone that many people would look forward to picking up when it is ready, taking into consideration how flagship devices are always in demand. Well, the Galaxy S7 has been said to target an early 2016 release, and some photos of the alleged device has already been snapped, although one should take into consideration that the original Weibo post is no longer there.
Of course, do take this particular leak with a pinch of salt, since it could be one of the numerous smartphones from various manufacturers that could roll out a similar looking handset. In the leaked photos, you can see a wrap-around metal border design, which seems to be the in thing at least for the next couple of years. All that we can do now is to sit tight and wait for the real deal to surface.
