Huawei G520 To Hit China Soon

Huawei intends to make a splash in China by introducing the G520, and there are also whispers going around that the Huawei G520 could eventually be branded (now this is definitely a no-brainer) as the Huawei Ascend G520 in the US. Still, there is no word of a US launch just yet, but we do know for sure that the Huawei G520 will be making its way to the China market this coming January 21st for just $225 after conversion. Is that cheap or what?

Unfortunately, when you pay peanuts, you get monkeys, and with the Huawei G520, there lies a Mediatek MT6589 1.2GHz processor underneath the hood, where it will be accompanied by a 4.5-inch IPS touchscreen, a 5-megapixel camera at the back, 512MB RAM and in all probability, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich bundled along with it. Guess this will target first timers on board the smartphone bandwagon more than anyone else.
