Acer Liquid C1 Announced

It was not too long ago when Acer announced the Acer Liquid E1, and here we are with the latest smartphone which runs on the Android operating system, but will depend on an Intel Atom Z2420 chipset to get the job done instead of the usual suspects like Qualcomm and the ilk. Well, an event at Thailand saw Intel and Acer team up to present a spanking new Android-powered smartphone, where it will be known as the Acer Liquid C1.

This bad boy will rely on the most recent mobile Intel Atom Z2420 chipset, where it will be accompanied by a 4.3-inch IPS screen of qHD resolution (that amounts to 960 x 540 pixels), with an 8-megapixel shooter located at the back. The processor will run at 1.2GHz, and surprise, surprise, it is a single-core CPU with Hyper-Threading support. Hardware-accelerated 1080p encoding and decoding is supported, letting the Acer Liquid C1 camera shoot 5 still images in just one second. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich comes pre-installed, and it ought to retail for around $335 after conversion when released in South East Asia.
