Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Appears In Benchmark
It was in October this year where a DLNA Certification pointed a finger at a new Samsung Galaxy Note tablet, where a User Agent Profile (UAP) dropped further hints, revealing a resolution count of 1280 x 800 pixels on the tablet, where it was called the Samsung GT-N5100. Well, it seems that the GT-N5100 could also be known as the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
Having made an appearance on the Nenamark2 benchmark earlier this month, it has since followed up on that with an appearance on the GLBenchmark site. The “N” in the name designates it as a Note tablet, where the 7” display makes it ideal to be called the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. The benchmarks do seem to drop hints that this puppy will run on a 1.6GHz Samsung Exynos 4412 processor, where it will also have Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean in tow, with a resolution that matches that of the Google Nexus 7, resulting in a pixel density of 216ppi. Let us hope that the showfloors at CES 2013 and MWC 2013 will reveal more details.
So, there is a new Samsung smartphone that is about to be released – big surprise, that, and I say this with full a sarcasm. Still, those who want something that looks to hang out on the high end side of things in terms of design and form factor, and yet having a mid-range performer within, can always settle for the Samsung Galaxy A9.
The handset has already appeared on the FCC database, which means it has been approved, and listed as the Samsung Galaxy A9. With the green light given, it is but a matter of time before it hits the market. If you would like to fancy your chances with an upcoming mid-range device that seems to hover more on the higher end scheme of things, then the Samsung Galaxy A9 would certainly fit you to a ‘t’, so to speak. After all, accessory manufacturer ITSKINS has shared more details concerning this device, with the Galaxy A9 touted to be a wee bit more compact as opposed to the Galaxy S7 Plus, never mind that both handsets will come with 6.0″ screens.
Measurements of the Galaxy A9 include 161.9mm x 81.3mm x 7.34mm, where it would be slightly taller than the Galaxy Note5, while sporting a metal and glass design, a fingerprint reader that should be able to handle mobile payments, a Full HD Super AMOLED display, and a Snapdragon 620 chipset, among others.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 will no doubt be a smartphone that many people would look forward to picking up when it is ready, taking into consideration how flagship devices are always in demand. Well, the Galaxy S7 has been said to target an early 2016 release, and some photos of the alleged device has already been snapped, although one should take into consideration that the original Weibo post is no longer there.
Of course, do take this particular leak with a pinch of salt, since it could be one of the numerous smartphones from various manufacturers that could roll out a similar looking handset. In the leaked photos, you can see a wrap-around metal border design, which seems to be the in thing at least for the next couple of years. All that we can do now is to sit tight and wait for the real deal to surface.
