It was in November (just last month) when we discovered that LG is on the brink of rolling out a spanking new Android-powered smartphone sometime in 2013 – preferably in the earlier part of the year, of course, as anything later might not bode too well. This will be a flagship smartphone for LG, where it is tipped to continue from where the LG Optimus G left off, and assuming there is a need for continuity in the naming convention, the new flagship could be called the LG Optimus G2. This upcoming smartphone is tipped to go up against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4, although we have heard reports of it ditching the 5” display, and will instead come with a larger 5.5” display, clearly placing it in the Galaxy Note 2 territory.
Either way, it will come with a Full HD display – meaning there will be 1920 x 1080 pixels for your eyes to enjoy, with a very high chance of it running on Android Key Lime Pie (in all probably version 5.0), LTE connectivity, a 2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Prime processor, and a high end camera behind.
