Just in case you think that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is a real behemoth with 5.5” of viewing real estate, along comes this 6.1” monster known as the Huawei Ascend Mate which was revealed to the world quite recently, albeit on an unofficial basis. To put it in a nutshell, the Huawei Ascend Mate is a 6.1” device that carries a 1080p display that is rumored to come with a 1.8GHz quad-core processor which in all probability is part of Huawei’s very own design, in addition to 2GB RAM, sporting a 13-megapixel shooter at the back and a rather hefty 4,000mAh battery to go along with it. Otherwise, how do you expect such a large display to last the distance?
Rumor has it that the Huawei Ascend Mate will measure 9.9mm thick, which is a departure from the svelte bodies that we have seen so far, but otherwise, it should work great for a device of its size. We look forward to the official release of the Huawei Ascend Mate at CES 2013 in the week ahead.
