It seems that there is no escaping it – the Nokia Lumia 510 can be considered to be a relic of the Windows Phone ecosystem, and it has not been deemed worthy enough to receive an upgrade so that it can join the ranks of the other Windows Phone 8 powered smartphones. Good thing that in life, there is always this thing known as a “compromise”, and what a compromise do we have with the Lumia 510 which is said to run on the Windows Phone 7.8 operating system update.
Better late than never, but the latest leak does seem to imply that the “weakest” of the Windows Phone-powered devices from Nokia does have what it takes underneath the hood to run a build of Windows Phone 7.8. I guess that it is only a matter of time before the update is released on an official basis, so keep your fingers crossed!
