Free worldwide Skype calls to mobile phones and landlines

We have known for the longest time that Skype-to-Skype calls have been free all the time, although you do need to pay a token sum via Skype credits to make Skype-to-landline and Skype-to-wireless calls. While there is no flat rate when it comes to calling different countries via landlines and over a mobile phone, the final cost is still far more affordable compared to the rate that you pay via traditional service providers.

Skype is said to offer a full month of unlimited calling to mobile devices and landline locations, and these need not even be folks on your contacts list – just use the dial pad and you’re good to go. There are some caveats though – including the application of a fair usage policy, while premium and satellite numbers remain out of bounds. You will need to claim this offer for free by tomorrow, November 15th, and will need to be an existing Skype customer for at least the past month.

This offer, however, remains off limits to folks living in Russia, China, Taiwan or Korea. Wireless and landline destinations include numbers in Canada, Guam, Hong Kong S.A.R. China, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Thailand and United States, while you can only call landlines in the following countries – Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg only), Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom and Venezuela.
