Huawei Ascend D2 arriving in 2013

China, dubbed by some to be the “world’s factory”, has seen its companies roll out far more affordable solutions than manufacturers in different countries, and the Huawei Ascend D2 looks set to be the same as well, considering how it occupies the 5” smartphone category that some of us refer to as phablets. Basically, the Huawei Ascend D2 could give the Galaxy Note 2 a run for its money, although it will not be a very taxing run, where it carries a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, a 13-megapixel camera at the back while there is a 1.3-megapixel front-facing snapper just in case you cannot live without video calls.

Apart from that, to power the larger-than-average smartphone display and make sure everything runs fine and dandy throughout the day, there is the rather generous 3,000mAh battery, coupled with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as the operating system of choice. It does seem as though the Huawei Ascend D2 will arrive in China sometime next year, with no word on pricing or availability.
