Verizon software update for the Galaxy S3
If you are a proud owner of the Samsung Galaxy S3 over at Verizon Wireless, then you would be pleased to hear that Verizon will be rolling out their first software update for the flagship Samsung smartphone. This particular software update will be known as version I535VRALG7, and with it, expect the “No SIM” error message that did bother some folks to be a non-entity in the future. Some folks, even after swapping their SIM card for a new one, still experienced this error, so to kiss goodbye to the “No SIM” error message is definitely more than welcome.
That is not the only benefit from the latest software update, as others include improved stability and connectivity with Back Up Assistant, support for viewing the Guided Tour video’s over the cellular network, improved data connectivity when using SBeam, and resolving whatever NFC tagging issues that are there. There is no word on when the I535VRALG7 update will be released, but it remains a relatively lightweight 30.7MB download.

Ellipsis 10 Tablet From Verizon Announced
It looks like the folks over at Verizon have stepped up to the plate by offering a brand new tablet for the masses which will follow up from their 2013 offering, which was the 7” Ellipsis. This time around, the tablet on offering would be known as the Ellipsis 10, and based on the name alone, it is rather obvious that this is a 10” device.
It will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop however, so forget about Marshmallow at the moment. It will also be accompanied by the likes of 1,920 x 1,200 resolution, where it sports a 5MP camera at the back, with a 2MP front-facing shooter, a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, “angular firing stereo speakers”, 16GB of internal memory, 4G LTE connectivity and a beefy 9,100 mAh battery. It will retail for $199.99 a pop with a new two-year contract, or you can pick it up or $299.99 all-in. [Press Release]

Verizon’s LG G3 Gets Android 5.0 Lollipop Update
So, you happen to be a Verizon Wireless subscriber, and own an LG G3 flagship device. If that is the case, then chances are you would have noticed that your device is more or less the last to pick up the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, at least among the other carriers that also offer the handset. Being the biggest doesn’t mean that one is the fastest, but then again, there is always the other adage of “better late than never”, right?
We are pleased to inform Verizon LG G3 owners that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update is now available for download, although it might take some time for the rollout to be completed across the entire spectrum of their customers, as with any other update rollout, regardless of the mobile carrier.
