When Nokia first announced the Lumia 920 smartphone just a couple of days ago at their event in New York, we were treated to what is possibly the best Windows Phone 8 device in the market – never mind the fact that the handset has yet to be released, and neither has Windows Phone 8 hit the market, although the latter will be happening pretty soon. Well, at the Lumia 920’s introduction, there was no release date attached to the smartphone, so there is nothing quite like a little bit of snooping around and being a busybody to wring more information.
Word on the street – or rather, from European telecoms operators, claimed that the Nokia Lumia 920 will be released in time for the frenzied holiday shopping season sometime in November this year. This would mean the Lumia 920 has some tough competition to chew through such as Apple’s iPhone 5 (in all probability), not to mention other Windows Phone 8 devices from rivals such as Samsung, HTC and Motorola.
