So, the good people over at the FCC have yet another smartphone to mull over and check out its specifications before giving the A-OK to roll it out to the masses. I am referring to the HTC One X+ here, and while nothing from AT&T has been revealed, it does seem most likely that this is a surefire bet for AT&T in the near future after FCC approval. Confirming the presence of the NVIDIA Tegra 3 (PM63100) chipset alongside compatibility with AT&T’s LTE bands, there is also speculation that the HTC One X+ will be powered by the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, and I am quite sure that many will be disappointed if it came with just Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box.
There are some bits of its hardware that we are not too hot about, including having just 1GB RAM as opposed to the US version of the Galaxy S3 which carries double the amount, and for a flagship phone, having just a 1800mAh battery underneath the hood does seem to be a wee bit underpowered. After all, if folks are going to rock on to LTE networks all day long, you know for sure that the battery is going to get depleted – and fast!
