Google Voice Search receives 13 more new languages

Speed is the name of the game, and for those who think that they can type pretty fast, talking works a whole lot faster. Google recently announced that they will be offering Google Voice Search in 13 more new languages, which would definitely add to 29 languages that are readily available at the moment. This would mean there is a total of 42 languages and accents, spread throughout 46 countries. This would make it a snap for 100 million new speakers to rely on Voice Search, where the new supported languages include Basque, Bulgarian, Catalan, European Portuguese, Finnish, Galician, Hungarian, Icelandic, Norwegian, Romanian, Serbian, Slovak and Swedish.

This particular update has started to roll out, and if you have yet to receive it, you will be able to do so throughout the rest of the week. It really depends on how you get started with Google Voice Search depending on the kind of smartphone which is in your possession. Should you be running Android 2.2 Froyo or newer, the microphone icon on the Google Search widget on your homescreen can be spotted, where tapping the icon will let you begin a voice-powered search immediately. If not, you can always install the Voice Search app from Google Play directly.
