Apple seeks to ban 8 Samsung phones

It looks like Apple intends to fully press their advantage in the recent court ruling which favored Apple over Samsung, where the latter was ordered to pay the former whopping $1 billion in damages. Well, the latest word from Apple is this – they have identified 8 models of smartphones from Samsung which infringed upon Apple’s patents on features and design elements by a US District Court, with the once hot selling Samsung Galaxy S2 and Droid Charge as part of the equation.

So far, there has been no “bullets” targeting the Samsung Galaxy S3, but who are we to say that this would not happen in the future? After all, you can never tell just how vindictive a company or organization could be when they feel threatened by others in the market, and would do everything in their utmost power and ability to be able to curtail the rest of the competition.

Jefferies & Co analyst Peter Misek, weighs in on the situation as well by saying, “The evidence and weight of the case are heavily in Apple’s favor. We expect there’s a two-thirds chance of an injunction against Samsung products.”
