Word on the street has it that Apple has redesigned their dock connector to just 19-pins, but it seems that the latest set of rumors have shown that the movie “Honey, I Shrunk The Kids” have had more impact on Apple’s engineers than originally thought. Word on the street seem to point towards an 8-pin dock connector for the next generation iPhone this time around, making it far smaller than what the industry had been looking forward to. If true, then this new connector will make use of just eight pins that are carefully arranged in a straight line, at least according to the sources over at iLounge. While no images of this alleged 8-pin dock connector was furnished, we will just have to make use of a stock photo for reference – what you see above is not the real deal.
