It is safe to say that nearly every device that needs to be released to the general market will have to go through the hallways of the FCC first, where this governing body wants to make sure that the consumer electronics which you purchase are up to standard and will not burst into flames suddenly to give your family jewels a good cooking. Well, the Huawei Ascend G 302D has finally arrived at the FCC, where it does seem to occupy the budget tier range of smartphones. From what we see, this seems to be a 4″ device, although the capacitive keys do indicate the Ice Cream Sandwich version of the Android operating system. There is still no confirmation as to whether this will carry Ice Cream Sandwich, or heaven forbid, something else that is far older.
In terms of specifications, very little is revealed, although the included manual do point towards some sort of Radio Frequency testing while letting us know that two kinds of batteries are available – 1,350mAh and 1,500mAh, in addition to Bluetooth, Wi-Fi b/g/n and AT&T-compatible radios support, of course. No idea on which mobile carrier it will be made available on, so we will just have to be patient.
