Verizon’s Galaxy S3 could see a possible launch on the 12th of July
Are you looking forward to getting your hands on the Samsung Galaxy S3 on Verizon’s network? While the carrier has outed a somewhat vague date and says it will “ship by July 11”, the folks at HHGregg have revealed on their website that the phone itself will be available on the 12th of July, making the 11th of July shipping date very plausible. The 12th of July is also a Thursday, a day which Verizon has favored in the past when launching new devices. Hopefully this also means that the phone will be available not just from HHGregg, but from Verizon’s retail stores and websites as well. In the meantime interested customers can get the phone from HHGregg for $199.99 on contract for the 16GB version. The 32GB version will not be offered by the retailer, so if you’d prefer more storage capacity, you’ll have to head over to Verizon’s own store where you can pick it up for $249.99.
So, there is a new Samsung smartphone that is about to be released – big surprise, that, and I say this with full a sarcasm. Still, those who want something that looks to hang out on the high end side of things in terms of design and form factor, and yet having a mid-range performer within, can always settle for the Samsung Galaxy A9.
The handset has already appeared on the FCC database, which means it has been approved, and listed as the Samsung Galaxy A9. With the green light given, it is but a matter of time before it hits the market. If you would like to fancy your chances with an upcoming mid-range device that seems to hover more on the higher end scheme of things, then the Samsung Galaxy A9 would certainly fit you to a ‘t’, so to speak. After all, accessory manufacturer ITSKINS has shared more details concerning this device, with the Galaxy A9 touted to be a wee bit more compact as opposed to the Galaxy S7 Plus, never mind that both handsets will come with 6.0″ screens.
Measurements of the Galaxy A9 include 161.9mm x 81.3mm x 7.34mm, where it would be slightly taller than the Galaxy Note5, while sporting a metal and glass design, a fingerprint reader that should be able to handle mobile payments, a Full HD Super AMOLED display, and a Snapdragon 620 chipset, among others.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 will no doubt be a smartphone that many people would look forward to picking up when it is ready, taking into consideration how flagship devices are always in demand. Well, the Galaxy S7 has been said to target an early 2016 release, and some photos of the alleged device has already been snapped, although one should take into consideration that the original Weibo post is no longer there.
Of course, do take this particular leak with a pinch of salt, since it could be one of the numerous smartphones from various manufacturers that could roll out a similar looking handset. In the leaked photos, you can see a wrap-around metal border design, which seems to be the in thing at least for the next couple of years. All that we can do now is to sit tight and wait for the real deal to surface.
