Prototype Sony phone spotted, runs on Windows Phone

Most folks would think of the names Nokia, Samsung and HTC When it comes to a smartphone which runs on the Windows Phone platform – however, it would be a rarity if you were to think of Sony in the first place. Guess what, boys and girls – it seems that there is a prototype model of a Sony smartphone which is powered by the Windows Phone platform that appeared on YouTube (don’t they all), where it is known as the “Sony Ericsson Julie”. The video itself brands it as Jolie though. Something is not quite right here, as the Sony Ericsson joint venture had already been ditched quite some time ago, so it does not make that much sense to see a co-branded phone in the wild. Perhaps this is an old outing that has been given a new lease of life online? Hopefully Sony will come up with an official stance on this smartphone that sports a slide-out QWERTY keyboard to boot.
