Motorola Xoom from Verizon Wireless receives Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update

Just as promised, Verizon Wireless has released the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Motorola Xoom today. Granted, this happened just a few hours ago instead of a bright and early start to the day, but technically speaking, we are still in June 4th – although those living in other time zones have already made the jump to the 5th of June. As with any other self-respecting operating system software update, you can find a slew of changes and improvements made to the operating system, weighing in at a rather hefty 107.9MB file download, so you might want to rely on a decent Wi-Fi connection to get it on your device.

Some of the improvements made to the tablet include fixed 4G LTE upgrade issues, the ability to successfully connect to a 4G LTE network immediately after DUAL IMSI switch, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) policy improvements, correctly working EAS security and synchronization, an optimized EAS setup, a new system font (Roboto) for improved readability, as well as improved screen rotation response time. Anyone given the update a go already, and how do you find it?
