Performing actions through your smartphone by using your voice is definitely not new, although Apple’s Siri seems to have taken the feature and given it more of a personality. Siri is also able to perform many actions via its interface, thus making it easy for users to search or pull information all from one location. Samsung too launched something similar back when they announced the Galaxy S3. Dubbed the S Voice, this feature was expected to be a competitor to Siri. However now it seems that like LG wants in on the action and has since announced the LG Quick Voice. It is expected to be able to do what Siri and S Voice does, such as launching apps, composing text/email messages, placing phone calls, performing searches, etc. However unlike Siri and S Voice which are exclusive to the iPhone 4S (third-gen iPad soon) and the Samsung Galaxy S3, Quick Voice is expected to be pushed out as an update to LG’s Optimus devices between the end of June and July. No word on whether it will be arriving stateside, but we’re sure that LG users in the US are hoping it will!
