LG wants to bring together fashion and form in a single device, and while their previous attempts comprised of the effort with fashion house Prada, this time around LG is staking it out on their own. The answer? The LG Optimus L5, where it is set to debut globally, starting with key European markets this month before snaking its way across to the other notable markets in CIS, Middle East and Asia – all the way before finally making its mark in Central America and South America. The LG Optimus L5 boasts of an extremely slim body, measuring just 9.5mm, where it will also feature select functions in different regions. For instance, dual SIM capability is available for models headed for Asia, CIS, Middle East, Central and South America only, while those living in Europe and North America will be able to enjoy the NFC “Tag & Play” capability, but ditches dual SIM in the process, of course.
Other hardware specifications of the LG Optimus L5 include a MSM7225A Cortex A5 800MHz processor, up to 4GB internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, a 4″ HVGA display, a 5.0-megapixel camera with LED flash, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as the operating system of choice. [Press Release]
