When the Huawei Ascend D Quad was announced at MWC earlier this year, it was met with some pretty positive feedback, especially given that Huawei has been known for its low-mid ranged devices as opposed to high-end ones. Unfortunately if you were looking forward to seeing it launch in July, you will be in for a disappointment as Huawei themselves have confirmed that the release date has been pushed to August. The manufacturer has stated that the reason behind the delay was due to their own-built quad-core chipset encountering some technical difficulties. They were not specific about the problem, but given that the SoC is pretty much the heart of the phone, we guess there is nothing they can do but fix it. With quad-core phones starting to become more commonplace these days, hopefully Huawei will be able to resolve the issue ASAP before the Ascend D Quad gets left in the dust. So, who else is bummed by this news?
