Xperia GX Goes on Display; Will the International Version Look the Same?

Prior to this article, we saw a few so-called demo units and images of the Xperia GX also known as the LT29i Hayabusa from Sony. While all of those were just leaks and rumors which were therefore unconfirmed, it seems that Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo had their summer 2012 showcase today and gave the media a first-look at the recently announced Xperia GX. There have been signs that the phone will go international including some videos on YouTube but those haven’t been confirmed either.

The video shows the device running the carrier’s firmware but the smartphone itself is devoid of the carrier badge. As opposed to the the NTT DoCoMo logo at the top of the handset, the Xperia logo is located near the earpiece while the Sony logo which allegedly glows is at the bottom. For now, there is still no official word about when the device will make its way westward but rumors and leaks suggest that we might be able to see it sometime in September. For now, enjoy the video.
