Windows Phone 8 Apollo Spotted on Nokia Lumia 900

Windows Phone 8 Apollo which is touted to bring the Microsoft mobile platform to a solid 3^rd place in the mobile ecosystem behind Android and iOS has been spotted in the wild on a Nokia Lumia 900. Rumors about the OS indicate that when it is launched later this year, it will usher in a new wave of products using multi-core chipsets along with HD screens among others. With news of Windows Phone 8 Apollo appearing in a few leaks and apps, it is set to take the stage at Microsoft’s Windows Phone Developer Summit which will take place on the 20^th and 21^st of June.

Rumors indicate that it will be previewed there but so far nothing has been confirmed. From the photo above, you can see that the version of Windows Phone 8 OS is a testing version for developers. Naturally, while nothing has been confirmed yet, it doesn’t hurt that we still get to see alleged leaks and hear rumors about what could be happening with the upcoming OS. Of course it might still be some time until Microsoft comes out and officially releases the OS to the public but until then, we’re just going to have to take this piece of news with a pinch of salt.
