Sprint Seem Confident About Windows Phone 8

During the CTIA Wireless event yesterday, Director of Consumer Acquisition at Sprint, David Owens said that he believes the upcoming Windows Phone 8 Apollo OS will be good. Subsequently, this has led to the possibility that the nation’s 3^rd largest carrier is in the works to offer a larger range of devices that include the upcoming mobile OS by Microsoft. Back at CES, Owens apparently said that the only Windows Phone handset available at Sprint; the HTC Arrive didn’t perform up to par and that it hasn’t “done well enough for us to jump back into the fire”.

This latest bit of news however, indicates that maybe the carrier is thinking of making a comeback with the next installment of the mobile OS. Besides that, when Owen was reportedly asked about the Samsung Galaxy S3, he said that the carrier was delighted with the accomplishments of the S2 but refrained from providing any further details.  What he did say though, was that Sprint plans to release 12 to 15 devices that will be capable of using the blazing fast LTE network. For now, Sprint has only released the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, LG Viper and the HTC EVO 4G LTE.
