Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and 10.1 Source Code Revealed
The source codes for the 7-inch and the 10.1-inch versions of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 has been spotted and this means that if you have just bought either of them you could be in for a wealth in custom roms soon. The source codes which can easily be downloadable here, will be a true help to modders to alter existing software and since the tablets run Ice Cream Sandwich as opposed to the 2nd –gen Galaxy Tabs which run Honeycomb, it might make it easier for roms like CyanogenMod 9 and AOKP to be available for users.
Where this source code might help the most however, is that major custom Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich releases for current Galaxy Tabs lack support for both the front and rear cameras along with the lack of full range motion of animations for ICS. Although Samsung tablets aren’t the only ones with the problem it might prove to be a tough nut to crack given that the hardware on the older 7.0 Plus and the 10.1 versions are so similar to the newer tablets so maybe modders may be able to finally resolve the problem.
