Rock Band to Remain Active on iOS

Despite a closure message that was sent out that read “On May 31, ROCK BAND will no longer be playable on your device. Thanks for rocking out with us!” many people rightly believed that there was no valid reason for it to happen. Now apparently the developer of the game EA has officially denied that ROCK Band for iOS will be stopped claiming that the closure message was an accident. In an interview with the folks over at CNet via VideoGamer, EA said, Rock Band for iOS will remain live – the in-app message users received yesterday was sent in error.

We apologise for the confusion this caused. We’re working to clarify the issue that caused the error and will share additional information as soon as possible.” What makes the news a little weirder is that the closure was also indicated in a FAQ on its website that said, “Suspending support of ROCK BAND after May 31 and focusing resources on other EA titles.” Seeing as EA has officially come out to debunk the news could mean a plethora of possibilities including their own explanation that it could be an accident. But we’ll leave that up to you.
