NTT DoCoMo’s transparent OLED panel paves the way for new user interface
The user interface that it employs will require the forefinger of the hand holding the device that has this panel in order to operate it. Imagine playing Rubik’s Cube with this panel as you see above – should the cube be moved when the back side of the panel is not being touched, the entire cube will spin. Should the back portion of the panel be touched, you can only move one segment of the cube by stroking it to the left, right, up or down from the front segment. There is no word on when commercialization of this technology will happen, but we think both the gaming as well as work niches will be able to benefit from the idea when someone comes up with a “killer app” for it.
