NTT DoCoMo Announces Galaxy S3 (SC-06D) with 2GB RAM Upgrade
Japanese mobile carrier NTT DoCoMo has revealed what smartphones and tablets it will be releasing this summer and there are quite a few intriguing possibilities in it. One of which is the most interesting is the Samsung Galaxy S3 which was launched in London earlier this month. With the device said to be coming over to the US by June, it seems that the folks over in Japan can expect their S3 to be arriving at around the same time. Unlike the international S3 however, the one that will be going to DoCoMo differs in a few aspects.
Like the S3 that is rumored to be coming to the US, this one also features a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz processor which will allow access to DoCoMo’s Xi LTE service. Besides that, the other interesting addition and this is a big one is that the S3 that will be heading to Japan will be receiving an upgrade to the RAM that doubles the amount to 2GB. Since the phone has been tweaked to support LTE in Japan like this, do you think we could be seeing a similar change in the variants that head over to the US carriers that provide 4G LTE services? It looks like we’ll just have to wait and see.
