Nokia Use Lumia 900 as Hammer in Torture Test [Video]

Nokia seems to have stepped things up a notch with this new torture test. As we know, many people and bloggers have taken to drop tests or simply destroying new phones to see what degree of limits each phone has when it comes to durability. Instead of watching videos by people or bloggers around the world, Nokia itself deems it necessary to put its flagship Windows Phone device the Lumia 900 through the wringer.

At the start of the video, you will be greeted with a Star Wars like disclaimer after which the person in the video introduces you to the experiment very joyfully with an ominous picture of four nails, a hammer, a Lumia 900 and a wooden plank. That is enough to get you to expect the worse but as you watch on, he then starts to lightly hammer in nails on the surface of the smartphone’s screen and decides to use the Lumia 900 as a hammer.

Of course, he doesn’t hammer the nail all the way through, and we can’t exactly get a crystal clear picture of the effects all this banging and nailing had on the screen but it is still impressive. On a personal note however, is it just me or did he receive a call from Stephen Elop at the end there?
