LG Optimus LTE 2 Hitting South Korea This Week

Published

While many of us are itching to give the LTE Optimus a whirl, LG has already made the push for the former’s successor in its homeland, South Korea. LG announced that the Optimus LTE 2 will be available sometime this week in South Korea and there are a few notable improvements over its predecessor. The Optimus LTE 2 will come with a 4.7-inch True HD IPS LCD screen, 2 GB of RAM, a 2,150 mAh battery, a 8MP rear-facing camera, a 1.3 MP front-facing camera, GPS, Wi-Fi and it will be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Strangely, there is no mention of what processor will be running on the device, but we’ll try to find that out and let you know. Besides that, the battery which is larger than the original Optimus might just be necessary due to the draining prowess of LTE connectivity. With regards to the extra gigabyte of RAM, it seems that it is unnecessary but we are the last people to complain that there is too much of anything in a smartphone. As for the phone coming Stateside, we will be sure to let you know about any further developments in that area. Basically nothing has been confirmed in that aspect yet.
